Getting parts for your car
Warranty
Thank you for choosing our wreckers for your car part needs. We are committed to providing high-quality used car parts and ensuring your satisfaction. To outline the specific warranty coverage, terms, and conditions, we have developed the following warranty policy:
1. General Warranty Coverage:
- Most car parts sold by our wreckers are covered by a 7-day start-up warranty. This means that we guarantee the part to be in working condition upon installation. If any issues arise within 7 days of purchase, we offer a full refund for the cost of the product supplied.
- The warranty period starts from the date of purchase as indicated on the original sales receipt or invoice.
2. Warranty Limitations:
- Our warranty policy covers only the cost of the product supplied and does not include any labor charges, installation costs, or other associated expenses.
- Any damage, failure, or issues arising from improper installation, misuse, accidents, negligence, or modifications made to the part are not covered under warranty.
- The warranty does not cover any incidental or consequential damages, such as loss of time, inconvenience, or any other expenses or losses incurred as a result of a defective part.
3. Extended Warranty for Engines:
- Engines purchased from our wreckers come with a 60-day parts-only warranty.
- This warranty is applicable only if the engine is installed by a licensed mechanic and filled with the manufacturer's correct or equivalent oil.
- Accessories left on the motor are for testing purposes only and are not covered under any warranty conditions.
- It is recommended to replace certain components at the time of installation to avoid voiding the warranty. These include the radiator, water pump, thermostat, timing belt, EGR, oil cooler, external front and rear main seals, crankshaft seals, and camshaft seals. Oil and water leaks resulting from failure to replace these components are not covered under warranty.
4. Transmission Warranty:
- The warranty period for transmissions is similar to the general warranty coverage.
- Seals are not covered under warranty for transmissions.
5. Warranty Claim Procedure:
- In the event of a warranty claim, the customer must notify our wreckers within the warranty period.
- The customer must provide proof of purchase, including the original sales receipt or invoice, when making a warranty claim.
- Our wreckers may request the return of the defective part for inspection before approving a refund.
6. Exclusions:
- Any parts sold "as is" or with a specified limited warranty, or parts marked as "for parts only," will not be eligible for the standard warranty coverage.
7. Modifications to the Warranty Policy:
- Our wreckers reserve the right to modify or amend this warranty policy at any time. Any changes will be effective upon their posting on our website or other communication channels.
Please note that this warranty policy provides specific coverage for the different types of parts sold by our wreckers. It is important to review and understand the warranty terms and conditions provided at the time of purchase. If you have any questions or concerns regarding our warranty policy, please feel free to contact us. We appreciate your business and are dedicated to providing you with reliable car parts.
